Young Indian Chef to receive prestigious French honor for his culinary skills

India is facing a proud moment in the nation's culinary history. The Indian chef will be conferred with the prestigious French honor i.e. “Officier du Mérite Agricole de la République Française” at the French Embassy in the dignified presence of Mr. Gilles BRAGRD (Founding Chairman of the Club des Chefs des Chefs) and Mr. Christian Garcia (CCC President) on behalf of the Honorable President of France Mr. Emmanuel Macron by his Special Envoy Mr. Guillaume GOMEZ and the French Ambassador to India on 23 February 2023.

Who is the chef Monta Saini?

Chef Montu Saini is a member of the exclusive international gastronomic society Club des Chefs des Chefs and has a good name in the Indian food industry. He has the distinction of being the youngest chef to the President of India and was recently in the news for designing a brand new menu based on millets in the Parliament of India in sync with the International Year of Millets.

Taking Indian cuisine to new heights

This award will highlight Indian cuisine on the world stage, as the recognition comes from a country that is known as the gastronomic capital of the world. Chef Monta Saini will present the awards in person and provide valuable insights into his journey and vision for the future. The French ambassador will host a dinner in his honor to which officials from the President House, India Tourism Development Corporation and chefs from various five-star hotels are invited.
